All roads lead to 1 Republik

1 Republik has been unfairly shut down permanently. The closure penalty is not representative of how they operate as a business.

They have amassed a local population who value this premises as a refuge and safe harbor to spend their time and money. Friends and family meet and connect here on an everyday basis. A bar/restaurant is much more than a place to get a drink or a nice meal, it is a place that fosters the community, a place to relax, and build relationships. I respect the people who work here and who count on this for their livlihood. I myself have been coming here since I first moved to Jersey from Ireland and 1Republik was the first bar that made me feel so comfortable and at home from the moment I walked in the door.

The new Mayor wants to stop all the fights and keep the "bad apples" away by shutting down the busiest bar and restaurant. He is shutting down our favorite bar to make an example of the community instead of working with the community.

If he wants to use a perception of a place regarding all the alleged incidents that are being portrayed, why not get to know a place before judging a book by its cover? Has he ever stepped foot in to 1Republik to see the joy that place brings not only to me and my friends but families that have been coming here since it opened. If every bar was held responsible for their patrons actions and could control their every move then all hoboken bars should be shut down for that matter. An establishment should not be shut down due to the misdeeds of a few "bad apples" that attend these bars.

LETS ALL COME TOGETHER TO SAVE 1REPUBLIK FROM THE CRUAL HARSH UNFAIR PUNISHMENT!!!!!
