Save Lives, Not Red Tape: Overturn Unjust Pet Travel Restrictions in Kuwait!

We urgently call upon the authorities to reassess recent regulations affecting the transport of rescued pets from Kuwait to the USA. The current limitation of one pet per person as excess baggage hinders the crucial work of dedicated individuals and organizations rescuing abandoned pets in Kuwait.

The rescuers in Kuwait are unwaveringly committed to saving the lives of hundreds of cats and dogs living in challenging conditions on the streets. They have shown dedication and resilience in tackling a problem affecting not just abandoned pets, but the overall ecosystem.

The recent imposition of a ban on excess baggage has created significant hurdles for these rescuers. The inability to transport multiple pets per person directly impacts their ability to rescue and rehome these animals efficiently. It seriously affects the rescuers in Kuwait but also has repercussions for partners in the USA who give these animals a second chance at life.

Our plea is simple: We request an urgent reconsideration of the decision to limit the number of pets per person as excess baggage. We call for a compassionate and humane approach to pet travel regulation, fostering collaboration between rescuers, authorities, and airline industry stakeholders. Together, we can ensure that these animals find loving homes and contribute to the well-being of both Kuwaiti and American communities.
