Stop the deregulation of Mold Rules

The State of Texas are planning to deregulate the mold rules and they are doing it as quickly as possible. We just learned about this yesterday as it was posted for a "Public Hearing" and the hearing is tomorrow. This will directly affect consumers and companies who currently work in the consulting and remediation fields.

There are two committees: the Senate Business and Commerce Committee and the House Licensing and Administration Procedures Committee. Both of these committee's meet tomorrow and are trying to get the Rules deregulated before any of us in the industry can have a chance to respond.

We are trying to raise awareness on this issue and I am asking for people to contact their representatives and let them know that this is not in the best interest of the consumers of the State of Texas.

This will also directly affect thousands of people who work in the industry who work tirelessly to keep homeowners and business owners safe.

Please sign the petition and call your representatives to let them know this is not in the best interest for the State of Texas.

Update #15 years ago
Our meeting with TDLR and House/Senate committee members was productive. We were able to stop the deregulation of mold for this session; however, the fight is not over. Our lobbyist said that it may come up again so please keep spreading this information. The more people that know the more prepared we will be next time. Thank you all for your support. If anything new happens i will send another update, but for now we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
