This Poor Alligator Was Found Tied Up With Two Arrows Shot Into It!

Someone found an injured alligator in Florida that had been tied up and shot twice with arrows, but the authorities have yet to figure out who did it. The idea of whoever did this walking around freely is terrifying. We know animal abuse and human abuse are correlated, so it's critical the authorities identify the person who did this right away.

Will you sign on to add pressure to the local police in Lee County, Florida to hold the abuser accountable?

Sadly, alligator hunting is legal in Florida. But only with a permit and in certain months. What happened here was not hunting -- it was torture. We can't know for sure if the animal was shot and then tied up or tied up and then shot. What we can know is that whoever did this was only interested in hurting the gator. The poor thing could have been injured and suffering for days before it was found and treated.

South West Florida Crime Stoppers are calling for tips about the incident and the sheriff's office said they are starting a task force to educate and enforce animal abuse laws. The problem is, we know that all too often, the authorities allow animal abuse cases to fall by the wayside since they don't involve humans. That's wrong in and of itself because animals are living beings that don't deserve to be tortured. But those who abuse animals also usually abuse humans,so it's in everyone's best interest for the police to take such heinous animal abuse seriously.

Please sign on to encourage local law enforcement to get serious about catching this gator abuser.
