Florida's Environmental Policy Is a Failure, and Ron DeSantis Is to Blame

Florida is ground zero for the impacts of the climate crisis in the United States. Sea level rise is literally making shoreline cities like Miami disappear in real time, while more frequent and more intense hurricanes wreaking havoc on the state's infrastructure.

As a result, you would think Governor Ron DeSantis would take climate change and environmental protection seriously. But he hasn't, and people and the planet will suffer.

Sign now to demand Florida Governor Ron DeSantis protect his state from the debilitating effects of climate change and act to reduce carbon emissions!

Florida's climate policy is nothing short of catastrophic. The Sierra Club and other leading environmental organizations just awarded DeSantis an "F" for his dismal environmental record. Laughably, he likes to call himself the "Teddy Roosevelt" of conservation.

Florida has thousands of lakes, over 11 million acres of wetlands, and hundreds of springs of freshwater - all of which are at risk because of the state's horrendous mismanagement.

Clearly this man is unfit to hold the position of governor, let alone anything more prominent. And yet he's had the gall to run for president - meaning he could spread his climate chaos policies all over the rest of the country.

Environmental protection is complex, and requires listening to conservation and climate scientists, as well as investing significant money and resources. DeSantis is doing the opposite, and he's putting the lives of humans and non-humans alike in grave danger.

Sign now if you believe DeSantis should step up and enact strong environmental policies in Florida!
