Relocate Snowy Owls at JFK instead of killing them

Recently JFK Wildlife Control killed three Snowy Owls after another got caught in an airplane turbine. While we all understand how much of a danger this represents to everyone in and around the airports, did they have to take such drastic action? Snowy Owls are magnificent creatures and deserve to have been trapped and released into a more friendly environment, not disposed of like vermin. I'm asking you all to sign my petition to prevent this outrage from occurring again.
