Punish Animal Abuser Who Murdered A Puppy For Chewing On His Xbox Headset!

What kind of human being would beat a puppy to death, AND break another puppy's leg, just for chewing on something?

"A Great Falls man faces two counts of aggravated animal cruelty Wednesday after he allegedly beat a puppy to death and broke another puppy's leg for chewing on his Xbox headset. ...

"According to Austin Corey Pierson's charging documents, a woman went to the Great Falls Police Department lobby on May 8 to report animal cruelty.

"She said her coworker had received a call that her puppy was chewing on her boyfriend's headphones and that he was going to kill the puppy.

"The woman stated her coworker went home to check on the dog. When the coworker returned, she reportedly said the puppy had been taken to the vet and was dead.

"The woman also reported that there was constant domestic violence in her coworker's home and that the coworker was not comfortable talking to law enforcement," according to The Great Falls Tribune.

There is so much wrong with this situation...

But it gets worse.

"When Pierson spoke with investigators, he stated he had just come home for lunch to find Sadie chewing on his new Xbox headset and he "just got so angry."

"Pierson reportedly admitted to hitting Sadie with the headset and breaking it, then kicking Sadie in the ribs. He said he told the dog to go to its kennel, which she did, but by the time he came back, the dog was down. ...

"An autopsy performed on Sadie found that her rib had been broken and punctured her lung, causing the lung to fill with blood. The veterinarian said the dog's injuries were the cause of its death. ...

"Later, the dog owner's mother reported that Pierson's other dog, Cooper, was at the vet with a broken leg. She said she had seen the dog the previous Friday and it was in good health. ...

"She also said that a month prior, her daughter had asked her to come look at Cooper for an injured leg that her daughter said was caused when Pierson threw the dog down the stairs for being too loud," said the same source.

Imagine being a little puppy.

You're brand new to the world, so you're still learning.

You just do what comes naturally.

Next thing you know, the person you love most is shouting at you.

Then you feel unimaginable pain, and your body is broken.

But you feel so much love for this person, that when you're told to go away, you obey.

You lie down, but you only get weaker and weaker.

Your lungs fill with blood. You can't breathe.

You whimper, hoping beyond hope that the one you love will save you.

But help never comes.

Austin Corey Pierson clearly shows a pattern of abusing the living beings around him.

His horrific behavior is inexcusable.

Senator Bernie Sanders has been a long-term advocate for animal rights, and has co-sponsored numerous pieces of legislation to protect endangered species, as well as to combat animal cruelty.

That's why we're asking him to lead a movement in Congress that would punish convicted animal abusers severely.
