A male student raped a female student while she was too drunk to consent. But the board recommends he doesn't get expelled because he has a 3.9 GPA and is a valuable member of a research team in engineering.
What do a student's grades and work have to do with whether they are a violent criminal? Nothing. Sign the petition to tell ASU Senior Vice President, with whom the final decision rests, to ignore this recommendation and expel this dangerous student now.
As per usual, people in power have decided that the life of the perpetrator is more important than the life of their victims. ASU obviously doesn't care about the safety of the other students who could become this guy's victims. And they obviously don't care about Brooke Lewis, who bravely spoke out about this.
