there are only a limited number of tickets that are given to each student (4) and each was given an opportunity to request extra. However, most of the extra tickets are given to students for the theater in which the graduation experience is impersonal and many family members miss out on this monumental moment to see their children or grandchildren graduate. Not only is the gym extremely crowded, it poses dangerous accommodations for family members with disabilities or mobility restrictions. Even for those without restrictions, the bleachers are extremely uncomfortable, crowded and do not allow for spectators to move in and out of their seats, for example to use the bathroom. Family members who have planned to come from out of town are now unable to come see this exciting moment or if they have already planned visits to town now this forces students to chose between parents, grandparents and their own siblings. We propose that moving graduation outside would solve all of these problems, so that the family members of the graduating class of 2018 can have a pleasant experience and so that the graduates will not have to chose between family members to attend. The advantages of having graduation outside include, a sound system already set up, more bleacher space and mild weather conditions that provide a slight breeze in late may. Our Graduating class is the smallest of the next 3 classes, what will the school do when the classes reach record sizes?
