Exclusion Is Also An Unfair Advantage-Fairness for Food Trucks

I would support allowing food trucks to operate within the city of Prescott,as long as the following conditions were met.

1.They did not operate in the downtown district.

2. They did not operate in areas that would impede pedestrian movement or motor vehicle traffic or parking.

3. They operated only on private property that has been zoned for commercial use.

Current city code is written in a way to specifically exclude food trucks. I have heard from a multitude of people that this was done to appease local restaurant owners.
This is concerning for many reasons, the primary one being that this violates a citizen's right to economic liberty.   This is the right to do business without the government interfering on the side of one special interest.

Secondly, I am a resident of Prescott. I am a home owner, a tax payer, a consumer in Prescott, yet am unable to do business.
I would like to see the city council re-evaluate this situation keeping ALL business owners in mind. I would not choose to hinder any other business owners opportunity to succeed. I only want equal rights under the law.
