American Taxpayer Money Is Being Used to Destroy Life-Saving Contraceptives

For no logical reason, the U.S. government is about to burn $9.7 million worth of life-saving contraception. While this medication was originally promised to women and people around the world in conflict zones, refugee camps, and impoverished communities facing contraception shortages, they are now going to be left with no access to these important resources.

We're calling on the Trump administration to halt this destruction immediately and ship these contraceptives to the countries in urgent need. This is a matter of global health, human rights, and basic decency.

Sign the petition to urge the Trump administration to send these contraceptives to the countries that need them before it's too late!

Instead of delivering this aid to vulnerable women and girls, the administration plans to burn it. That's right – thousands of IUDs, birth control implants, and other long-acting contraceptives will be destroyed at taxpayer expense, all because the organizations trying to buy them also support abortion access.

Meanwhile, over a dozen countries, including Mali, Ethiopia, and Senegal, are running out of basic contraceptive supplies. This is cruelty disguised as policy.

It's also economic madness. Not only was this $9.7 million in family planning supplies paid for with taxpayer dollars, but now an additional $167,000 will be spent just to destroy them. Everyone loses. The U.S. is wasting money and people lose access to safe family planning. And thousands of lives are placed at risk.

This isn't just about boxes of medication. It's about girls who might be forced to drop out of school. It's about people risking unsafe abortions. It's about families pushed further into poverty. And it's about millions of lives lost because of one administration's callous political agenda. Sign the petition now and tell the U.S. government: Stop the waste. Save lives. Send the contraceptives.
