Laws for animal welfare are simply not strict enough. Recently, a man from Fort Green, N.Y., Dudley Ramsey, got a 4 month prison sentence for killing his Dachshund puppy and later admitted to killing another dog as well.
When people abuse animals, it never ends there. They go on to abuse other animals and people so the laws need to be much stricter than the ones that are currently in place.
Let's call it "Junior's Law" in honor of the puppy this man killed.
We, the undersigned, want to have much stricter laws in place for animal abusers. We are aware that people who abuse and/or kill animals receive hardly any type of sentence or charges against them and feel that it is well past time that the laws change.
