The County Commissioners did vote against allowing the land swap to be included in the developers rezoning request. At this time the rezoning hearing by the developer has been canceled and not rescheduled. Info will be updated as it is available. The developer is trying to rezone for more density to allow a 300+ unit apartment complex. There has been significant clearing of the natural brush near/across from the new hotel just South of the pedestrian bridge that is raining concern. We need to continue to voice our concerns to preserve the natural state of our Upper Tampa Bay Trail.
