Michigan Camp Grayling ORV restrictions

  • by: ANDREW B

Camp Grayling has thousands of acres under DNR control, this land is suppose to be shared with the tax payers and people of Michigan. The DNR with support the National Guard has declared it off limits to ORV use. However this land is OPEN to everything else when the National Guard is not training (Hunting, Horseback riding, hiking, camping, fishing, bird watching etc). But closed to ORV 100% of the time. I would like Gretchen Whtmer to step in and Demand that this discrimination be stopped and OPEN to 100% of the Michigan outdoor's man and women. The  National Guard has gates that are closed when in Traning. When Gates are OPEN we ORV riders should be able to enjoy the land.  Time to stop this ORV Discrimination and let Michiganian's and Visitors Enjoy this land for ORV use! This is JUST control by the DNR, and National Guard. With the Forest Roads act of PA288 2016, ORV riders had excitment with the possible OPENING of these areas, the DNR has explicitly posted NO ORV's in this area.
