It’s not broken, so don’t fix it! Keep our coffee local!

A Providence corporate decision, made outside of the Montana region, was recently announced to St. Patrick Hospital employees. It states that our in-house coffee shop (Grounds and Grains) will be dropping its long-time coffee supplier, Black Coffee Roasters, as well as a few other local venders. We were told that as of 2/14/19, Starbucks would be the new supplier as part of a “system wide cost efficiency effort”. We, a contingency of St. Pats employees, are deeply disappointed that four local businesses will be negatively impacted as a result of this decision. Grounds and Grains is a very successful shop that is falling victim to what we have been told is “assumed significant savings” through this contract with Starbucks. It is our desire to see Grounds and Grains remain loyal to the local vendors that have made it such a popular and successful service for so long.
