He Looked Like a "Walking Skeleton." Two Dogs Were Found Starving to Death at This Man's Home.

A Western Australia man was repeatedly told by vets and inspectors to introduce more food into his two dogs' diets, and was given free weigh-ins for the animals every week. The dogs were so clearly emaciated -- one receiving a body score of two out of nine -- that vets and inspectors were desperate to get these animals the care they needed.

He refused, and the dogs, Morley and Waldo, nearly died.

The man was charged with two counts of animal cruelty and failure to comply with inspection orders. The court also handed the man a 5-year ban on animal ownership. But is that enough to protect future pets from this kind of abuse?

Sign now to tell the Broome Magistrates Court: make this man's 5-year animal ownership ban permanent!

The photos of the two dogs that were found are harrowing. In the pictures, you can see that both animals are clearly emaciated, with clear signs of starvation. Morley's entire ribcage is visible -- the inspectors that visited called the poor pup a "walking skeleton." Waldo, a sweet pomeranian who was also living on the property, had a narrow waist and tucked abdomen.

There is one very simple way to better protect all future dogs from this kind of abuse: to ensure this man is never allowed to own animals again. A 5-year ban is a step in the right direction, but a lifetime ban is what is necessary to prevent future neglect. Sign the petition NOW if you agree!
