We Saved the California Condor From the Brink of Extinction. Now, There Are Only 347 Left.

This September, the body of a California Condor was found on the side of a road in California. This in and of itself is a tragedy, as less than 350 of these amazing birds are left in the wild. Then, a forensics lab investigated the bird's death. The cause? It was killed by a gunshot wound.

We cannot let any more condors die in this tragic, senseless way. It is time for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to act to ensure the public understands how threatened these iconic birds are!

Sign now to tell the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service: launch a public education campaign to protect these rare birds!

California Condors are amazing birds -- not only are they the largest bird in North America, able to soar as high as 15,000 feet, they also rebounded from the literal brink of extinction.

But the population has plummeted back down to just a few hundred condors in the wild, and clearly, some people in the United States think it is okay to kill them.

We must urge the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to launch a public education campaign to protect these amazing birds from extinction yet again. Sign the petition now if you agree!
