Dear Sir/Ma'am:
I am contacting you by permission of the family of Jesus Jose Estrada Valles, 49, of Ojinaga, Mexico. Jesus "Jessie" was last heard from by family on Monday, April 16th, 2018. He contacted his Mother who was in the hospital with pneumonia, and has been diagnosed with terminal Stage 4 Cancer with a 6-12 month life expectancy. He also contacted his Son Jessie Joe Valles (Joe), and Jessie Valles wife of 11 years. Between the all of Jessie Valles' final contacts with family, they learned that he was traveling on foot in the wilderness between Plata (North-East of Ojinaga) and 118 between Alpine and Terlingua. He was having trouble breathing and had been abandoned by the group he was traveling into the US with, who had robbed him of his personal supplies. That was Monday. His brother Donald Brown called the authorities of Brewster County Sherrifs Office and the Border patrol that afternoon. During the conversation, Mr. Brown insisted that Border Patrol authorities triangulate the last call pings from Jessie Valles cell phone in order to narrow down the search area. Border Patrol agents had told Mr. Brown that they were sending search units out including Air Patrol and Infrared scanners to locate Mr. Valles, and that they would contact the cell companies and see what they could accomplish. Border Patrol agents needed more information on the calls in order to recieve information from the cell companies and had to coordinate with American and Mexican cell companies to get more accurate information. Donald Brown retrieved Phone numbers and call times from Monday and sent that information to BP agents that afternoon. Monday night passed with no sign of Valles. Tuesday many calls were made to Border Patrol agents to confirm they were still searching. After being assured the Border Patrol was doing all they could, the family trusted that there was nothing more they could do but pray and wait. That evening family members began reaching out to local media via email and social media. Wednesday morning when there was still no sign of their brother Jessie, Calls were again made to Brewster County Sheriffs Office. Deputies there had conflicting information for each family member. Some family members were told by officials they had no idea what they were calling about, others who were contacted assured the family that search crews were out and that they were doing everything they could, still others told family Border Patrol agents had not been coordinating efforts with local authorities. Wednesday evening Brewster County Sheriffs office posted this Facebook Inquiry https://www.facebook.com/brewstercountytx/posts/1907258792631857 Following this post News Station CBS7 posted this news article concerning Missing Person Jessie Valles http://www.cbs7.com/content/news/Authorities-searching-for-missing-man-in-Alpine-area--480185513.html
and family started flooding social media with requests to help find their beloved Jessie. Many have shared these posts and offered their prayers and for that the famliy is thankful. By this time Joe Valles, son of Jessie, has coordinated with an Equestrian search and rescue who Thursday searched the area of Elephant Mountain with no sign of Jessie Valles. Thursday morning Joe Valles called to inform family that the Sheriffs Department had been notified that Jessie's last use of his cell phone was in fact Tuesday, April 17th and that they were using that ping to triangulate his position within an 8 mile radius and would search the area. UPDATE!! NOTHING Still no news... except we found out the deputies at the check point in that area had no idea there was a search / investigation. The words "this is the first I've heard of it" will ring forever in my ears đą I've heard it so many times regarding CRITICAL INFORMATION
