Limit breeding in Pennsylvania Puppy Mills!

People always wonder how they can help prevent over population of pets. Spaying and neutering dogs and cats has been one of the most successful ways. But more needs to be done...

Puppy mills, also known as puppy farms, over-produce puppies which are then sold in puppy stores. The more puppies that are sold, the less puppies and dogs in shelters that get adopted out. Another thing people don't know about puppy mills: not all puppies that are produced get sent out to puppy stores. Puppies that are born with physical or mental health conditions are either burned or trashed because they are considered worthless.  If this isn't enough, these practices are regulated by the USDA.

According to the Legal Dictionary, animal cruelty is defined as follows: "the crime of inflicting physical pain, suffering or death on an animal, usually a tame one, beyond necessity for normal discipline. It can include neglect that is so monstrous (withholding food and water) that the animal has suffered, died or been put in imminent danger of death."

We need to let puppy mills and the USDA know that these practices, are not only cruel, but are crimes.

This needs to change!!!

Let's tackle one state at a time, and let's start with Pennsylvania, the state known to be the most populated with puppy mills.
