Demand for LAMBTON COUNTY to make an amendment to their NEW bylaw

As of April 1st, 2019 ..Roaring Big Cats Retreat moved into their purchased acreage which used to be a former Zoo. They purchased this place knowing there was no bylaw in place for BIG CATS So they bought it for a safe haven for their BIG CATS, They have their cats with them and their cats have been with them since they moved in.
They have BIG PLANS to turn their home into a BIG CAT, captive bred Animals education center. and also a rehabilitation station for our local wildlife.
They plan to make their home beyond the standards of safety for everyone.
to limit any risk of anyone ever getting hurt, or any animal getting loose.
They plan to use some of the existing building that is still in good shape to house the wildlife that is there for rehabilitation to be released back into the wild.
Deer, foxes, wolves, raccoon, skunks, possums, squirrels, etc
There are no rehabilitation centers at all in the neighboring areas. Other facilities are always full,( Salt haven who specializes in Birds) South Huron has nothing for Rehabilitation nor does BlueWater.
Our Wildlife is Down 50 % in the last 30 years it's time for ONTARIO AND THESE COUNTIES to do their part to protect and help protect our ECOSYSTEMS
having a rehabilitation center, this close to the surrounding communities is a blessing a place to take orphan animals or injured animals and a place for people to go to get educated on our wildlife and how important it is to maintain it.
To educate WILD life should never be pets, or be purchased to make money off of

These BIG cats at the retreat, had no place to go, they were used for a documentary once that was over..they were to be destroyed. ..Mark the handler rescued them.
Zoos don't want more mouths to feed. when they already have cats on display why take in another one. There are so many more like this and so many other animals purchased enjoyed until they get too big than no longer wanted.
YES, keep your bylaw in place ...no one should own BIG cats or wild animals but make this exception ..for a rescue to be in place. make guidelines to keep the public safe.
for double fencing ..double gates, camera, alarms, etc, etc
These cats were already there before the bylaw change. do what's right for these big cats they're not domesticated and they're not wild they are captive bred.
Make it an education center for people to realize how important it is to keep our wildlife safe and why it should remain wild!
