Now that the GOP has control over the House, it's petty revenge time — and that means kicking Democrats they fear off their committees. McCarthy has made it clear that Reps. Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, and Ilhan Omar are to be kept out of prominent positions due to "objections over their behavior."
What might that behavior entail? They're mad at Swalwell and Schiff for making the House Intelligence Committee do its job and investigating the links between Donald Trump and Russia — and they're mad at Ilhan Omar for standing up to Palestinian human rights and angering their AIPAC donors.
Tell the GOP to behave like adults and let Democrats do their jobs!
McCarthy's justification for this is because the Democrats kicked notorious racists and conspiracy theorists Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar off of their committees as punishment for actual bad behavior, whereas McCarthy wants to kick the Democrats off for literally doing their jobs.
Schiff, Swalwell, and Omar are critically important voices in Congress and we need to have them on their committees — end of story. Petty vengeance is no way to run a government.
Stop McCarthy from kicking Dems like Adam Schiff off their committees!
