New York Republican Congressman George Santos, has gotten caught in his own tangled web of deception… and it is as bizarre as it is offensive. Santos was elected under the guise of being a wealthy, biracial Ukrainian whose grandparents died in the holocaust. And whose mom died on 9/11. And who also worked at Goldman Sachs. Except none of these things are fully true — in fact, most are flat-out fabrications.
The reason why Santos chose to defraud the constituents of Long Island and Queens is relatively unknown, and he mostly brushed off the accusations (despite acknowledging that they were untrue.) After claiming his grandparents escaped the Holocaust as Ukrainian refugees, he then backtracked saying he only meant that he was "Jew-ish," not Jewish.

To the dismay of many, Santos has vowed to serve his full two years. He has reduced his dishonesty to "resume embellishment," making it all the more troublesome that he is unable to recognize the severity of the situation. George Santos was elected by New Yorkers based on pure deceit, and now a complete stranger is in our legislative body. We can not allow it.
