Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth must be fired for the USS Lincoln disaster. When the troops you are responsible for don't have adequate food and water, you have screwed up in a horrific way. And when conditions on a ship are so bad that sailors have started jumping off it into the ocean, you need to go. NOW.
There were already a zillion reasons for Hegseth to be removed before the Lincoln disaster. It was clear from day one that he was not qualified in any way, shape, or form for the job. And instead of seeking advice and counsel from those who could help, he just yelled a lot (as if stupidity made sense at a higher volume) and gesticulated wildly like a teenage organgatan.
And now his incompetence and lack of even the most basic planning has left thousands of sailors running out of food and water in a war zone.
We don't have time to wait for Hegseth to finish puberty. He must go NOW.
