Proposed Apple Valley Multi Sports Complex

The Apple Valley parks and recreation facilities for our youth are drastically overdue for a renovation. The current sport parks that Apple Valley currently has lack quality, restrooms, paved parking, adequate shade, seating, and have not been updated for decades. This petition proposes a large multi sport complex that would include 8 artificial turf baseball fields (4 full size and 4 youth), 1 large indoor gymnasium that includes 8 indoor basketball courts, 5 artificial turf soccer fields (3 full size, and 2 youth), 1 full size artificial turf football field (also used for youth soccer), outdoor exercise equipment, splash water park, skate park, walking trails, adequate restrooms, lots of shade structures, and paved parking. The location of this multi sport complex would be on Apple Valley's south west side near the towns already developed shopping and dinning establishments. This complex will generate community activities, town growth, and increase local business revenue. This multi sport complex would have to be put on the 2020 ballot as a tax measure and would require a 2/3 majority vote to pass. The complex will all be paid for by an annual tax increase of anywhere from $40-70 per residence and be funded by the citizens of Apple Valley. An idea of overall cost would range from $25-35 million depending on final plans. There is no greater thing that we as citizens can invest in than our youth. By signing this petition this is just a start to get momentum to bring this idea to the Apple Valley Town Council. The goal is to get 10k signatures and get this proposal on the 2020 ballot. So please share this with everyone you know and give our youth a place to be proud of.

*Disclaimer*

The rendering and location would still have to be determined by the Town of AV if passed.
