Pontiac Park has been the playground to hundreds of families and the students of the Port Morris PS/MS 5 school since 1962. The last reconstruction of this playground happened during a City project in 1997-98, Twenty years ago. The playground finds it self in decay. From the playground to the basketball court and the handball courts, THE CONDITIONS ARE HORRIBLE. The Play ground has also become the go to place for heroin and other drug addicts at all times of the day even during the recess times of our students at the Port Morris School, because the gates of the playground have no locks or are dis functional. We the people of this community demand a new and safe playground for are children.
