We, the undersigned, oppose the preliminary conditional use permit requested by BMC Development of Warrenton, LL dba BMC Stone, LLC to use 18259 Quarry Road, Warrenton, MO as an outdoor shooting range/club.
As owners of property near the proposed shooting range/club site, the peace of our rural environment and abundant wildlife are an integral part of life enjoyed by the residents and guests at Innsbrook as well as those who own surrounding properties.
Of the many sights and sounds that influenced us to buy property in this idyllic part of Warren County – rapid gunfire was not one of them. We feel a gun range in this area is not compatible with how the surrounding properties are used and will negatively impact the enjoyment of our property as well as the property's value should the rural feel be shattered and wildlife scared away by the noise it will create.
As our elected representatives, we urge you to deny the permit to BMC Development of Warrenton and not allow the property mentioned above to be used as a gun range in our backyard.
