Parking Regulation for Slate Canyon Drive

This is a petition for a Parking Permit Program on Slate Canyon Drive in Provo Utah. The areas of Slate Canyon Drive that front residential properties (694 S. Slate Canyon Drive to 1411 S. Slate Canyon Drive) will have permitted overnight parking from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. only. There will NOT be parking enforcement during the day or evening. Side streets including 1080 S. and 1280 S. will be included in this parking regulation up to where the private streets begin. The section of 900 S. from Slate Canyon Drive to 1540 E. will also be included along with the 30 yards of Nevada Ave. that stem from Slate Canyon Drive. Property owners can apply for a maximum of 2 parking permits for themselves or tenants for a price of $15 a year for each permit. Each permit will include 18 single day visitor permits and 1 seven day visitor permit. Parking permits will be transferable. If a landlord that does not live on Slate Canyon Drive is applying for a permit for their tenant they must have a current Rental Dwelling License and be in compliance with the license before a parking permit is granted. Parking regulation will not be enforced on Thanksgiving weekend, and from December 20 to January 2nd of every year. Cars parked on the Slate Canyon Drive between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. that do not have a parking permit will receive a ticket. Ticket pricing will be determined by Provo City Parking Enforcement.
The areas of Slate Canyon Drive North of 694 S. Slate Canyon Drive to the roundabout, South of 1411 S. Slate Canyon Dr. to State Street, and the Canyon trail head access roads will have NO PARKING signs 24 hours a day.
