I distinctly remember in my early gaming years a curious title called "MC Kids." It was a wonderful game, and one of the few things me and my mother bonded over so well. However, Earlier today, The day I am typing this, Me and my mother were laughing about how MC Kids didn't make it onto the Nintendo Retro Edition. And then it hit me. I don't remember much about McDonald's when I was little, but the Characters.. they stuck with me for years. But the question is.. the main question I want to get us all thinking.. is where did they go?
McDonald's is still a very successful Fast Food Chain, but as I pay attention to the commercials I begin to wonder where all the characters the Die-Hard McDonald's customers grew up loving went. Sundae, Ronald's Faithful Dog. Grimace, The Formerly evil yet clumsy Goo Monster. Hamburglar, The Sneaky Thief. Mayor McCheese, The Hearty and Warm-hearted Hamburger.
I still ask myself these questions. But now to the real point of this. Why not bring them back? We, as the fans that all loved them, should have a moral obligation to our younger siblings and kids and family members to make a change and convince McDonald's to bring them back into the light of day.
Until then, They'll always remain in my heart and soul as the Characters That Made McDonald's Good.
