Oppose Special Use Of Residential Land for ILC Development at 141st & Shelborne Rd

  • by: Carmel Residents
  • recipient: Carmel Residents Opposed to Special Use of Residential Property at 141st & Shelborne, Carmel, IN

Please sign this petition to OPPOSE the Special Use application for the property at 14120 Shelborne Rd, attached to parcel 14138 Shelborne Rd. (BZA Docket 17120001)

The opposed Special Use would permit the construction of the ILC in an exclusively residential sector of Carmel. This is a PROBLEMATIC location for such a large development, given the extremely close proximity to many surrounding single family homes. This property is inadequate to accommodate a project of this magnitude and high use intensity. The ramifications of NOISE, LIGHT POLLUTION, and INCREASED TRAFFIC will NEGATIVELY affect the well-being, health, and safety of families already living in and around this area. We will be forced to change our way of life in order to shelter our families from the influx of congestion and commotion into an otherwise undisturbed, residential area.

The Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals will review and vote on this Special Use application at the BZA Meeting on Monday, January 22, 2018. Location: Monon Center East Building, Room B., 1235 Central Park Drive E. Carmel, IN. Please attend to OPPOSE the Special Use application.

You are also encouraged to voice your concerns to the BZA directly. Emails can be sent to the City of Carmel Carmel Dept. of Planning & Zoning, Attn. J. Shestak, jshestak@carmel.in.gov. All emails of concern must be submitted by 1/17/18.

Please SIGN this petition to bring attention to this issue to OPPOSE the Special Use application. Let's preserve this quiet and uniquely residential pocket of Carmel!
