Downtown Decatur has grown tremendously over last couple decades. So much so that the last contiguous piece of land in downtown Decatur, now owned by the Decatur School System, is being eyed for new building development. Many children, adults and seniors use this space for Frisbee tossing, soccer, lacrosse practice, strolling, dog-walking and Tai Chi/Qigong practice. Turning this space into a downtown park, with school children in mind by offering science, nature, ecology lessons, could be easily developed and enjoyed by all.
