A very special THANK YOU to Mohammad Alaa Aljaleel – The Cat Man of Aleppo

Please say THANK YOU to Mohammad Alaa Aljaleel - a true real life hero, an amazing and kind hearted human.

When the civil war in Syria began he decided to stay and to help. Even in the midst of chaos and tragedy he cares for those who have no voice, no choice - for the innocent victims of war – cats, dogs and children.

Alaa's dream to have a shelter for cats and dogs came true in 2015, a playground was build and Alaa gave children the opportunity to play with specially selected friendly cats. It was a small peaceful world in the midst of war and destruction.

But the situation grew worse: food became more and more scarce and food prices rose. Despite this, Alaa managed to keep feeding his cats. Unfortunately the shelter was bombed, lots of cats were killed and Alaa was forced to leave Aleppo.

Now he has found a new place where he is working hard to make his dream come true: To build 'Ernesto's Paradise', a new sanctuary which will be the first of its kind in the Middle East, a house for dogs and puppies , a Playground for pet therapy, an animal hospital and one for humans.

Alaa not only helps the animals - he also helps children, the elderly, the poor and the disabled.

"I regard animals and humans in the same light. All of them suffer pain, and all of them deserve compassion." Mohammad Alaa Aljaleel

Please say thank you to Alaa and the people working with him and feel free to leave a comment as a personal message to Alaa.
