Sign to Legalize Marijuana Nationally.

Care2 Update (10/18/2022): Earlier this month, President Joe Biden officially pardoned more than 6,500 people who had been convicted in federal court for simple possession of marijuana, and multiple thousands more will also be pardoned through D.C. law. This means they will also have full civil and political rights restored, meaning better access to housing, educational, and employment opportunities. This is huge news -- and a big step in the right direction! Now, Biden must work with Congress to fully decriminalize and legalize marijuana throughout all of the United States!

We are veterans. We are parents. We are children. We are the terminally ill. And we want marijuana legalized now.

Newly appointed Attorney General's Barr may have signed a pledge not to "go after" the marijuana industry in states where it's been approved, but he hasn't made any steps to legalize it federally either. In states where it is still prohibited there are constant crackdowns on recreational — even medical — marijuana users.

We are not criminals, but we will never be free of the fear that law enforcement may someday kick down our doors until marijuana is legalized nationwide.

That's why today we are calling on the United States Congress and the US Senate to support and pass Senator Cory Booker's Marijuana Justice Act, which would legalize marijuana on the federal level and encourage states to do so too.

Legalizing marijuana is the right thing to do. It's high time lawmakers got off the sidelines and finally ended the costly, racist, and cruel prohibition on marijuana.

We need a groundswell movement for legalization to convince Congress to act immediately. Will you be a part of that movement? Take a stand. Please add your name to this urgent petition.
