FREE Gerard Gray NOW

To Clark County District Attorney, Judge, and others:

Free Wrongfully Convicted Gerard Gray.

We, the undersigned, support wrongfully convicted, factually innocent Gerard Gray CFN 80777-Clark County Jail-Vancouver, WA.

Gerard Gray is a loving and dedicated father as well as a loyal and upstanding friend, family member, and co-worker. Overall, Gerard is an admirable member of society.

Gray was tried and charged with the crime of one count of second degree assault, two counts of kidnapping and one count of fourth degree assault when he was WRONGFULLY arrested in 2007. This is a terrible injustice that needs to be corrected. The two witnesses involved pleaded on Grays behalf that it was not written correctly by the Clark County Police report, false information was added to police report, and nobody believed the witnesses at trial, not Judge, nor the Jury, or Prosecutor and the Public Defender didn%u2019t even include all evidence on Grays behalf and now he is convicted with a sentence of 38 plus years without the possibility of parole.

Gray had a prior felony conviction over 20 years ago when he was in his teens and did his time already for that. However, that too was used against him in this trial. Gray had no priors with the witnesses, nor did he use drugs or did he have any gang relations. He was a responsible, hard working father that just had a bad night behind domestic violence argument. Witnesses clearly explained what happened and asked for no contact order to be lifted that the State of Washington put on the family, and they did not want to file any charges, was pleading innocence in behalf of Gerard Gray. Their voices were not heard.

We know for a fact that the witness and the only other witness of the crime, his step daughter, was coerced by police to make a statement that night, the police added their own words to that report that were not said by either witness and they were lied too and manipulated by Prosecutor who lied numerous times during their testimony of what happened that night, when the whole time they were testifying to Gray%u2019s complete innocence.  Nobody would ever listen to witnesses what so ever. Public Defender came to trial unprepared and did not present all the evidence nor did he even want to hear of it when witness tried to explain it to him. It could have freed Gray or at least have raised much more than reasonable doubt to Gray%u2019s guilt and the state of mind he was in that night and the mental health issues and medications being taken.

It is obvious and quite clear that the justice system has failed Gerard Gray miserably. We will not stand for this! We as the public and on behalf of our community want justice to be served! We place our hearts, faith, and soul, into our justice system without doubt, yet our faith in our government's dedication to truth has been betrayed! Is this really a society where the innocent are found guilty and put in prison, while the guilty go free? We care about our community and people like Gerard Gray that make our community whole. It is a tragic day in America when an injustice like this can be performed without an objection from the public. Fortunately the truth CANNOT be buried forever! We the people find Gerard Gray NOT GUILTY of the charges brought against him and DEMAND that justice be served!

Above all, we request that Gray be allowed all evidence, whether physical evidence or testimonial, in his favor to be presented in an evidentiary hearing or a new trial. We ask the Judge assigned in this matter to dismiss all charges because guilt could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, considering the prosecutorial misconduct and the unfair trial proceedings and not all evidence was addressed at trial.  We ask that Gray, having now unjustly served seventeen months altogether, first,  year in jail awaiting trial, and then in State Prison at Walla Walla, have his sentence of 38 plus years be overturned, and his record be expunged, and his release from prison be immediate and let him return home to his family.

Please assist us by signing the petition to exonerate Gerard Gray, 42 years old, overturn his sentence of 38 plus years without the possibility of parole, dismiss all charges and expunge Gerard Gray%u2019s record.  Make your voice heard; this is your Constitutional right.

Gray has been grossly violated by his unfair trial, along with his unjust treatment by the Judge at Clark County Jail, Prosecutor, and several journalists of the Columbian newspaper, and the many others who lied under oath at trial. Please help free this innocent young man.  Let us get him a fair trial.  Gerard Gray needs a pro bono law firm to help him that will present all evidence and actually listen to witnesses and believe their word.

He has spent already 17 months too long enough!  We'd like to get him out, so he can be back home with us, his fiancé%u2019 and children, where he belongs. With your help, and the attention, and hopeful cooperation of our Governor, we all might be able to make that happen.  Thank you for your time and concern in this matter of utmost importance.
