Don't close our El Centro Jo-Ann's Fabrics & Craft Store

Recently Jo-Ann's announced the closing of their Yuma, AZ store. While there are many reasons a company's corporate office will make the difficult decision to close a store, we wish to also let them know how important their products and services to a small community have significantly impact the customers they serve.

MESSAGE TO JO-ANNS CORPORATE OFFICE
As loyal Jo-Ann's shoppers we ask that Jo-Ann's corporate office thoughtfully reconsider any decisions to close the El Centro, California store. Closing this location will have great negative impact on the community's crafters, quilters, teachers, and small business members who rely on the products that Jo-Ann's bring to us.

Beyond the inconvenience to your local shopping population who may or may not have the ability to travel a minimum of 100 miles to a store location [Yuma (62 mi), Rancho Mirage (97 mi), and El Cajon (101 mi)] from El Centro, is that a complete market will be underserved by the void created by a potential Jo-Ann departure from El Centro.

There is no parallel with respect to product availability at other retail stores in the El Centro area that carry fabric and sewing notions lines on the level of Jo-Ann's.

It would be a great disservice to our community for you to close. We have come to enjoy your El Centro staff members who are always ready to provide superior customer service. No amount of online shopping can replace the human interaction, or the "touch-and-feel" of comparison of fabric, yarn, and thread selection via a smart phone or computer monitor for making crafting decisions.

We strongly urge you to keep the doors open of our El Centro Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store!

WHAT CAN OUR LOCAL SHOPPERS DO?

Please sign our petition, and also visit Jo-Ann's website on the Contact page and send them a message.  The results of the petition will be forwarded to the store manager, regional manager, and corporate HQ.  Help us get the word out to keep our store!

Imperial Valley Communities in support of El Centro Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft
