Pittsburgh's Immigrants Deserve Comprehensive Programming and Support!

It is no secret that America is a nation of immigrants. But in the last decade, many American politicians have become more explicitly hostile towards immigration to this country, using people who are migrating as political scapegoats for problems that have nothing at all to do with them.

The city government of Pittsburgh must show our immigrant neighbors that they are welcome here by helping them integrate into the community and feel supported by their city and neighbors!

Sign now to demand Pittsburgh City Council fund, research, and execute initiatives that help compassionately integrate immigrants into the communities of Pittsburgh!

As of 2018, almost 10% of the city of Pittsburgh was made up of immigrants. These people are members of our community, and they deserve to be treated as such. But there are only a handful of ways for immigrants in the city to get support, and many of those are unknown to most local immigrant populations.

Research shows that programs specifically targeting immigrants -- such as education, recreation, and employment opportunities -- can greatly help people feel at home in their new city. Pittsburgh must do just this to support our immigrant communities.

The Pittsburgh City Council should research the needs of local refugee and immigrant populations and help fund city-wide educational campaigns, resettlement programs, and other community initiatives to help welcome our immigrant neighbors! Sign the petition now if you agree!
