Barktopia, a shelter that saves dogs from euthanasia in Tennessee, is in need of some help.

Barktopia is appearing before the zoning board on June 11th in hopes of being able to keep Barktopia where it presently resides. So let's sign and share this petition to show Maury County that Barktopia needs to stay where it is and that Barktopia does not house "vicious" dogs -- they house dogs that are being given a new chance at life while making room for other dogs in the area shelters!

We need to show our support for the volunteers and of course, the dogs. Please sign the petition to tell the zoning board Barktopia does not pose a threat and should stay where it is!

Maury County Board of Zoning,

Barktopia is a haven for dogs escaping euthanasia. We, the undersigned believe the shelter is important for the safety and well-being of dogs in the community. The dogs do not pose a threat and are not vicious -- they just need a home, and the shelter helps them find one.

Please consider the welfare of the dogs and the commitment of the volunteers when making your zoning decisions. Keep Barktopia where it currently is!

VICTORY! for the dogs.. the zoning board approved the request and Barktopia stays! On behalf of myself, the dogs, Jamie and all the volunteers we want to thank each and every one of you that took the time to sign and share this petition.

I have extended the closing date for the petition. It's been extended to Wednesday June 4th- I would like to try and get at least 3,100 signatures...but would be very happy to reach 4,000.

Thanks again for signing and for helping us save BARKTOPIA!

Thank you so much for those that have signed this petition, it's wonderful to see how much support can be given from across the world. In just a few more days we will be closing the petition and getting it ready to present to the zoning board.

Long live BARKTOPIA!
