STUDENTS OF HOWARD UNIVERSITY DEMAND SHELLED-EGGS FOR BREAKFAST

Everyday, the "Blackburn Cafe" and the "Bethune Annex Cafe" prepare eggs from a powder base. The powdered egg formula lends a very bland and cake-like dish, one can immediately tell after eating the powdered eggs that they are completely different from shelled-eggs- in the worst way possible. It is disappointing to have to realize that students will have to wait until they travel home for semester break before they are able to eat shelled-eggs, students at Howard believe it doesn't have to be this way. Shelled eggs are mistake free, they don't require any of the measurements that powder-eggs require, and most importantly they taste better. Eggs are one of the few proteins harvested from an animal that a vegetarian can consume, and so Howard University should be hospitable and make sure that this important food is being served at a decent standard. Shelled eggs are economical, especially when purchased in bulk, they could prove to be a tiny investment which would improve the dining life here for everyone at Howard University.
