To the residents of Sandon and the surrounding areas, we really need your support!!
As you may or may not know, we recently had a premises license refused due to a very small percentage of the village objecting against the event. The reason we applied for the premises license was to take Sandon Fields (to be held over Sat 9th June and Sun 10th June 2018) up a level from the event held in Sep 2017. Bigger and better acts, more to do for the family, just an all-round better event that would in turn allow us to do more for the local community.
Here's how you can help...
We are reapplying for our license in the next couple of weeks and need as many positive statements as possible about the festival. If you attended the 1st event in Sep 2017 or live in the village (or surrounding area) and would like this family friendly event to carry on once a year, could you please sign the petition and then email the answers to the questions below to us at: info@sandon-fields.com (so we can show / attach the petition for the council when applying for the license) It is important to state if you are from the village or have connections (family) from the village or if you are from the surrounding area and relitivily local to the event (e.g, Rushden, Buntingford)
- Did you find the event safe overall? Safe for yourself and your children? were our security and marshalling staff on show / visable and helpful?
- Were there any traffic problems on the roads in Sandon, leading up to the festival site? Were there any queues?
- Did you find the music overly loud? Did you find the music on offer family friendly (good variety) If you didn't attend the event and stayed at home, was the music significantly disturbing?
- Would you come again and why?
- Anything else you liked or enjoyed about the festival..
Thank you :)
