Extend the Wind Tax Credit

It's never a bad bet to invest in America. We built the trans-continental railroad and the inter-state highway system, sent a man to the moon and opened up access to every region of the world from our living rooms with a single click of a button. We don't retreat from history, we make it by doubling down on American innovation and ingenuity.

We know that energy is the next great challenge we face and technological revolutions don't happen over night. That's why Congress passed with huge bi-partisan support the Wind Tax Credit to invest in wind energy. For the last two decades this tax credit has enabled American businesses to invest in creating the technology that will fuel America's future and has created tens of thousands of jobs. The Wind Tax Credit is set to expire at the end of the month and Congress needs to renew it.

Investing in American energy will continue to create good jobs that can't be outsourced, break our dependence on foreign oil, and fulfill our moral obligation to be good stewards of God's creation. That's why few people will openly oppose extending the Wind Tax Credit, but it is in danger of getting tangled up in the current budget debates and being used as a bargaining chip.

Congress can't be allowed to play politics with our future. Please sign our petition below and tell Congress it's time to invest in America again.

As Christians we believe that investing in clean, renewable energy fulfills our call to be good stewards of God's creation. It is also an opportunity to show love for our neighbor by creating thousands of jobs for Americans.

Extending the Wind Tax Credit aligns with more than just good policy for clean energy and job creation. It aligns with our values. We expect our leaders to express these values as well and to extend the Wind Tax Credit.

Thank you.
