End Whaling in Norway!

Norway is the only country besides Iceland who still conduct commercial whaling in direct defiance of the 1986 IWC's international moratorium. Their quota for the 2013 season is 1,286 Minke whales which the Norwegian Ministry of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs says population is now large enough to justify the country's limited catch. The whaling season begins April 1st and ends on August 1st. In 2011 less than 50% of their intended quota was achieved.

We need to put the pressure on Norway and tell them its time to bring about change. We now have scientific evidence and information that Cetaceans have feelings like our own and suffer as we do. Whaling is not needed to sustain a living in this day an age and its barbaric tactics should be no longer tolerated! Its time to step forward and be a voice for those who need us now more than ever!
