Stop online review slander, cyber bullying and create strict guidelines for consumer reviews

I believe cyber bullying is reaching out into the world of online reviews. I believe that this petition is important to have companies that allow online reviews such as: google and trip advisor to change their review policies so it doesn't get out of control.

The statistics of people taking stress leave in the customer service industry are at an all time high. This affects people's mental health, workplace enjoyment and also a businesses bottom line of staffing.

Coming from a manager in customer service with many years of experience I believe the online world is becoming more negative. Anyone who has worked as a manager in customer service, knows that replying to online reviews is almost near impossible. There is almost no guidelines for when a consumer is leaving the poor review; but when you go to reply to it there are strict guidelines. They do not let you explain the situation and they do not let you protect your company or yourself.

Online reviews should not be able to mention a person's full name such as first and last name. It should only be allowed to mention a company name. When there is a disgruntled consumer they blast the person they directly deal with at the time. However that person is doing their job and they shouldn't be called out individually. If someone doesn't like how something was handled they should only be able to mention the company name and then the company would take steps to find the staff member working that day to see what happened. 

What a lot of consumers don't realize is that the customer is not always right. They can be educated. The cinsumer doesnt work for you therefore they dont fully know what happens behind the scenes, or  employee may of been upholding a company policy that is part of their job to do. They didn't make the policy on the spot to make the consumer life difficult. If an employee were to let it "slide" then they could loose their job.

Also with a review blasting the first and last name of the employee it follows them through life. Any future job they wish to apply to can research reviews based on their resume and their name will come up. Not knowing the back story they may just toss the resume aside and only see it from that one point of view. This then impacts a human being's life, whether it be much needed income , wanting a new job or a higher up position. Disgruntled consumers shouldn't have this kind of control.
