On March 2nd, 2019, multiple student organizations on WashU's campus were notified that the Gargoyle and Mallinckrodt 100a would not be available to book after Commencement 2019. These spaces are significant for variety of events and performances. Many groups will be losing space on campus to dance/ perform/ host events. It is these performance that WashU uses to publicize diversity and inclusion on our campus, and so eliminating this space affect not just current student experiences but future ones as well. We students are petitioning Washington University of St.Louis to keep the Gargoyle and Mallinckrodt 100a. If this is not possible, we ask to provide accommodations that would help student groups.
