This Hero Firefighter Faces 20 Years In Prison For Savings Lives

Miguel Roldan is a Spanish firefighter who sprung into action to save drowning migrants who were in grave peril after their boat faced distress while crossing the Mediterranean in June 2017.

Even though Roldan and his colleagues tried their fiercest to save as many as possible, because of governmental red tape they had to wait 15 minutes before they could begin rescuing the drowning refugees.

"We could only save half of them, many people drowned," Roldan has since said.

Now, he's facing up to 20 years in prison.

The Italian government is saying that by rescuing drowning refugees he "facilitated" illegal immigration and human trafficking.

This makes absolutely no sense, and we need to step up and say so!

Will you sign this petition demanding that the Italian government NOT press charges against Roldan and his associates who are currently under formal investigation?

We can't let saving lives become a crime. We need to stand up for brave heroes who dare to put themselves in danger to protect others. Will you help by signing today?
