Create an enclosed Dog Park in Franklin Park

As there are no dog parks within walking distance of Franklin Park area neighborhoods, our goal in signing this petition is to communicate our support to establish a fenced in, off-leash dog park within Franklin Park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife.
We would like to create a well maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions. An enclosed dog park at Franklin Park will satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike, providing for safe, off-leash dog activities.
Please sign this petition to let Santa Rosa, CA city officials know that you support adding an enclosed dog park to Franklin Park!

Update #15 years ago
Thank you for your support. We presented to the Santa Rosa Board of Community Services (oversees Recreation & Parks) yesterday, sharing the level of community support - 120+ signatures between this online petition and paper petition signatures in under a month.

We are optimistic a dog park at Franklin Park will be discussed further at an upcoming meeting, then formally evaluated by Recreation & Parks. It will be a 3 year+ process and hope we can continue to rely on your support. Thank you
