ARCHAIC TV LICENCE LAWS!

I know many families that are so tight on a budget that paying for a tv licence for the BBC is taking money away from from children's mouths. That may sound extreme but in this day and age that 10 or 15 pound a month for the tv licence means a huge amount to so many families, and if it isn't paid an innocent mother or father could be prosecuted and fined an enormous amount of money. WHY!. Surely people should have the right to choose. I don't want or listen to any bbc tv or radio out of principle. I'm sure there are many that will disagree and love watching and listening to bbc broadcasts. All I'm saying with money so tight in families and with single people we should have a choice wether we want to pay to watch bbc broadcasts or wether we just want to watch free to air channels (wich are better). The BBC should become a subscription channel, if people want to watch it then they can subscribe and pay the fee, those who don't want it are then not forced unfairly by law to pay.
