I don't believe people should be bullied for being overweight or obese. But does that mean we should also support their continuity of being at an unhealthy weight or take part in "fat pride"? Absolutely not! In the U.S. alone, obesity now stands at a whole 40%! Fat acceptance is a "social justice movement aiming to make body culture more inclusive and diverse, in all its forms." (Healthline) People of America need to be more active, and need to change their lifestyle, go on a diet, etc. It is understood that some people are obese due to certain conditions such as genetics, psychological factors, and even medications. This does not mean that someone should feel it is okay to be obese or overweight. It is obviously very unhealthy to be in this condition, and should NOT be glorified by plus-sized models such as Tess Holliday, or by fat acceptance "activist" Whitney Way Thore. The Fat Acceptance movement is just a lazy way to justify unhealthy habits and obesity.
