Close Pot Shops at Corner of 15th Ave E and E. Republican, Capitol Hill
Many residents of the Volunteer Park-15th Ave E Capitol Hill Neighborhood in Seattle, WA want to close the two Cannabis retailers, at 501 E. 15th Ave E and 1466 E. Republican because they are having a negative impact on the neighborhood. Legally it is defined as "creating chronic nuisances"
I. SMC §§ 15.48.040-050, prohibits sitting or lying on public sidewalks in commercial areas during certain hours. (The so-call "civility laws)

As for license renewals, the marijuana business licenses expire June 30 each year. Businesses must renew prior to July 1 to be in compliance. The code section below for issuance of licenses also applies to renewals, and details the reasons for denial of the license.
• 6.500.090 - Issuance of licenses
The Director shall deny a license and shall notify the applicant in writing of the reasons for denial and the opportunity to appeal, if the Director finds any of the following:

• The property at which the business is located has been determined by a court to be a chronic nuisance property as provided in SMC Chapter 10.09.
