Mental health issues hit people of all walks of life, No one is exempt. The Australian Federal Government needs to offer assistance for all those with a mental illness including the mentally disabled, Those disabled with a mental illness deserve to be treated the same as anyone else and not pushed aside by those who can help. At this point all that is offered is the Cat team for a short period, meds changed things more up in the air only to be refused the Mental health team and a case manager, My son is 45 and dual diagnosed, he suffers badly to be ignored in the long run. why? because he is mentaly disabled, In NZ they have teams for both types of mentally ill people, those who are mentally disabled and those who aren't. Australia needs the same the discrimination needs to end to give all people every chance and some quality of life, The government need to act and fast, stop pushing these people into a gap and leaving them there and start caring for them as the human beings they are,
