Support the Reusable Bag Initiative in the Town of Mamaroneck

Shoppers and residents in Mamaroneck and Larchmont, are you tired of seeing our beautiful woods and streets studded with plastic bags?

Did you know that the average useful life of a disposable plastic bag is 12 minutes? And that Americans use half a million plastic bags every minute? All these bags cause havoc on wildlife, are a source of carbon pollution, and less than 1% of them are recycled.

The Mamaroneck Town Council will be considering re-usable bag legislation, similar to that enacted in Larchmont, New Castle, Bedford, Stamford, and other localities.
