Without this early detection, hundreds of thousands of people will die. Once an outbreak has begun, containing it is much harder and more expensive.
This is typical Trump, zero concern for anyone he considers "other". What he doesn't see is that by defunding this program, he is putting the U.S. at risk as well. We do not have a closed economy and diseases like this are extremely hard to keep from spreading.
